Max Sowerby started Sowerbys back in 1994 in Burnham Market and has now grown this leading independent agency to become of the most respected agents in the county with 7 offices across Norfolk.
The Burnham Market office has been under the watchful eye of Charmaine Povey for over a decade. ‘Sowerbys has been my home for such a long time and I am sad to be leaving, but pleased to be leaving the office in such a successful position and in Will’s safe hands’ said Charmaine.
‘Charmaine has worked tirelessly to get the office to such an amazing and respectful position in the county and has always led by an incredible example for which I thank her greatly and we all wish her a well deserved and enjoyable retirement’ Max Sowerby said.
Will comes to Sowerbys with over 15 years’ experience in Estate Agency. He climbed the ranks in the corporate world and ran his first branch at the tender age of 22. Having moved to Norfolk over 10 years ago he fell in love with the North Norfolk coast and stayed.
His credentials speak for themselves having been regional manager for the uk’s largest independent estate agent overseeing a large area of East Anglia.
Will said ‘when the chance came to work with Max and the team at Sowerbys, an estate agency I had huge admiration for, and after meeting Max I found we shared many of the same values it was an easy choice to make.’
Will goes on to say ‘I am lucky enough to work in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK in my opinion, and it’s a real privilege to be able to value and sell so many interesting and different types of property. We have a great team here at Sowerbys and I hope to continue and build on the excellent work that Charmaine has done over the last 20 years. I believe the key to being a successful estate agent and manager for that matter is very simple, honesty, enthusiasm, and always delivering on what you promise. ‘
"Thank you to your team for having arranged 2 viewings so promptly after the property was put on the market. The highly professional marketing content and composition of the brochure and details of the property as it appears on the internet I consider really promotes the sale."
