"Their main priority is to ensure that all of our customers (buyers & sellers) have an efficient & transparent buying or selling process.
In every office we have people with excellent in-depth local knowledge.

One of their main assets is being able to relate to the customer's situation, having all gone through the process of buying, selling and renting property in Norfolk themselves.
I'm proud of everybody who works for us and they're all committed to giving the best service possible. Our people come from many backgrounds: tourism, financial customer services, mortgage underwriting, retail, interior design, accountancy, photography, public relations, farming, advertising, National Trust, property maintenance, secretarial, event management, teaching, information technology - no slick, pushy salespeople in sight!
We all enjoy the area and environment in which we live, which is only possible in the knowledge that we haven't treated anybody unfairly or unprofessionally."

I started modestly in 1994 with one office in Burnham Market, and have built up what I believe to be is one of the most respected independent agencies in the area, employing the very best local staff. We now have six local offices located in the best possible positions which gives us unrivalled independent coverage of Norfolk. We are now selling some of the finest & widest range of properties on the market, from beach bungalows to large country houses. I believe passionately in excellent customer care, honesty, and high standards of presentation. I have learnt not to sit on our laurels and continue to embrace new technology and employ quality people to ensure that our service and performance cannot be surpassed.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job with Sowerbys is knowing that through our commitment to excellent customer service, we are helping people to successfully conclude one of the biggest transactions of their lives. I joined Sowerbys in its infancy with no estate agency background and still feel as enthusiastic about the job as the day I started.

Having sold my property and also bought through Sowerbys, I found the people approachable and professional throughout the whole process. I was then approached to join Sowerbys in 2005 and jumped at the opportunity to be part of a company that has their clients best interests at heart.

I joined Sowerbys family estate agency in the spring 2010 having transferred from a corporate agency to the Burnham market office. The outstanding difference is the level of personal service to clients that comes when working for Sowerbys. So many of our vendors see us as the obvious choice to reinstruct, as they have come to rely on Sowerbys professionalism care and personal service. It is not unusual for Purchasers to pop back in to the office to let us know how they are changing their new homes!! I love my job it is interesting, exciting and rewarding. My move to Sowerbys was the best decision of my professional career!

As the new girl to the Burnham Market team, I could not have been more welcomed. I found this caring culture continued into the workplace and, having come from a corporate background, I love the way time is spent to provide the client with a first class personal service in an extremely professional manner. My move to Sowerbys has been a great move.

Being a Norfolk girl born and bred I am passionate about the area. Having had an interest in properties ever since working in an estate agents in Wells-next-the-Sea over thirty years ago I was overjoyed when Max Sowerby offered me the job as administrator. I love my job and am very dedicated, proud and happy to be part of Sowerbys.

Having been a potential purchaser for a couple of years, I could appreciate the professional company that Sowerbys is and was delighted when the Burnham Market office asked me to do accompanied viewings.

My wife and I have always loved North Norfolk and for many years had a holiday home here. Since returning to live here permanently in 2004, I have much enjoyed assisting the friendly staff at Sowerbys in Burnham Market and also meeting prospective buyers when showing them around the attractive properties found in this area.

We are very lucky to be working alongside some outstanding people who genuinely enjoy what they do, resulting in us continuing to surprise and delight our customers with the high service standards that we set and expect from ourselves. We hope if you are thinking of selling, buying or renting a property you will take the time to come and see us and allow us to guide you in the right direction. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Working through a recession has given me invaluable experience of how tough the property market can be and how to make the absolute best of it. I have found this experience amazingly productive and it has led me to develop my ideas and inspiration towards selling property. I approach my work empathetically. For clients, buying and selling property can be enjoyable and exciting, but at times it can also be difficult and stressful. I am diligent in my work and take it upon myself to see that all telephone calls are returned and all questions are answered diligently. Negotiations are not 9-5 and I will never underestimate the pressures that this can have on our clients lives.

Since moving to Norfolk in 2006 I have developed a real passion for the people and character of this area. The wide range of styles of property that I get invited to value makes every day an exciting challenge; and coupled with my interests in architecture, local history and a natural enthusiasm for meeting new people, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. My experience since joining Sowerbys in 2007 has given me the most solid of foundations when discussing and advising on both the residential sales market and lettings procedures. My background in construction has also allowed me to offer advice on land opportunities and home alterations. I feel fortunate to have one of the most exciting and varied roles within the company.

After 27 years, give or take, of being an Estate Agent, I still love everything about my job. More importantly, I am passionate and committed to giving the best service possible and, I am proud to be one of the last few remaining Estate Agents with traditional values.

Having a natural enthusiasm for property and being a person who truly loves meeting people means that my job at Sowerbys is perfect for me. My role as office Valuer involves me seeing some of the areas most oldest, interesting, curious, historically important and finest residential properties. Meeting the owners, hearing the history behind the buildings and ultimately helping them move on to new chapters in their lives is most satisfying.
