About Robbie Wright Builders
Robbie Wright first set up in business in the early 1970s and quickly established a
good reputation for quality workmanship. Over the years, the firm has expanded and Robbie Wright
Builders Limited now includes sons Paul and Darren and has an enviable track record. As Jenny Gilheaney,
property writer for the Eastern Daily Press puts it, "Character in Design and quality in
materials used are hallmarks of Robbie Wright".
The firm also specialises in building and maintaining swimming pools under the business
name of Norfolk Pools and is known for its landscaping skills. For the last 20 years, the firm
has concentrated on converting some of the most desirable period Norfolk barns in North and West
Norfolk. Its latest development, Ivy Farm Barns, can be found in the charming village of Stanhoe
near Burnham Market. "We are passionate about creating visually stunning living accommodation
without destroying the very essence of living in a barn." said Paul Wright. Materials have been
carefully selected over the years, through exhibitions and visits to reclamation centres.
The firm has forged strong links with independent companies that complete the joinery work
and install hand-made kitchens. Most of the paint used is Farrow & Ball which is associated
with traditional paints used by the National Trust and floors are either solid wood or natural
stone finishes such as Fossil Stone from India.
