There is so much to tell you about our Dereham office, that we have wrapped it all up in one parcel.
Firstly, we are completely thrilled to welcome Zoe Ryder to our team. Zoe is MNAEA qualified and although it doesn’t look possible, has over 18 years’ experience. What’s more, being a Norfolk girl and having worked locally for a fellow independent agent, there is nothing about Dereham and the surrounding areas that she doesn’t know.
Not only does this fabulous mum bring bags of experience to the team but she also somehow manages to organise a fantastic yearly dance event in aid of Dereham Cancer Care in memory of her brother Lee Parker who sadly lost his fight in 2015. In June 2016, Zoe proudly handed over a cheque for a mammoth £4,606.75
We look forward to supporting Zoe in her fund raising efforts next year.
Along with Zoe, our superwoman Sales Manager Jo Lobb has just completed yet another epic challenge. Super fit Jo took part in the team relay for the first ever Holkham Outlaw Triathlon, taking on he the 13.1 mile run leg of the event which also included her teammates completing a 1.2 mile swim of the Holkham Lake and a 56 mile bike ride around the North Norfolk coast.
2016 is the first time the event has ever been held at Holkham Hall, with 1500 entrants and, the historic venue has already been booked to run the event again next year due to the amazing turn out of spectators and participants.
Jo says ‘The addition of Zoe to the team gives us the most experienced, trusted team of Estate Agents in Dereham. We know that local knowledge and experience is so important because when we sell your home, we sell a lifestyle too. Perhaps your home is a near to an outstanding Ofsted school, or a 5 minute walk from a warm and friendly pub. For any property to come to life, it is essential that your agent knows and passes on these details.’
The strong Dereham team is further enchanced by Richard Cheal as valuer. The valuer is a fundamental part of the team and Richard comes with years of personal and professional experience in buying and selling homes. ‘For many people about to decide which agent they wish to market their home, it is crucial that they receive advice from someone with experience and knowledge. This experience combined with a degree in Marketing is the right combination to reassure our customers.’ Richard says.
Jo goes on to say ‘Some high street and online agents may profess to being a 'local agent' but if you look closely, the staff can be young or inexperienced with no estate agency background, with some even having call centres based in the Midlands yet professing to be ‘local agents’. This is not the case with the team here in Dereham. We have Zoe with her 18 years estate agency experience in the local area, Gordon Miller who works alongside myself and has been working in the property industry since 1987 and has 6 years local estate agency experience and over 30 years' experience selling property and Emma who has herself undertaken many renovation and self build projects and has worked in Agency since 2003. The office based team are strongly backed up by our very experienced local valuer Richard Cheal and his 10 years of experience.
‘Without wishing to sound clichéd, having opened in 2008 the Dereham office has gone from strength to strength and I know if I was personally selling my property, I wouldn’t choose any other agent. I am immensely proud to run this office with such a bunch of talented, professional people who always try to do the very best job possible for every client’.
"A HUGE 'thank you' from all of us for the extremely hard work you and the Sowerbys team did to make our sale and purchase happen. It still hasn't quite sunk in yet! We went to see the property last week and the house looked beautiful and we can't really believe it is finally ours. It is all down to your resilience, determination and efficiency. We would always be happy to recommend Sowerbys and will use you in any future moves ( although we really hope that will be a very long time away!) Wishing you a relaxing Christmas break. "
