Snettisham Park Farm
This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and hands on with farmyard animals and deer. Depending upon the season, the 329-acre working farm allows you to watch lambs being born and bottle feed them, collect fresh farm eggs, ride ponies and take a deer safari to meet the magnificent herd.
One of the few windmills left and the only working one in the area, Bircham Windmill stands in the heart of Norfolk’s undulating fields. Climb the five floors, learn to bake bread, pet the animals at the farm and watch the sheep be milked. It’s a fantastic way to learn about and interact with our local heritage.
ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure
Get active both mentally and physically at this Jurassic themed park. Life size dinosaurs lurk in the woodland so follow the trail and collect stamps to win a prize. There’s also a deer safari, splash zone, high ropes course, secret animal garden, maze, indoor and outdoor play areas and a fossil dig.
Norfolk Lavender and Farmer Fred’s
Norfolk Lavender is the country’s premier lavender farm and is renowned worldwide. Take an educational tour of the fields before heading to the animal gardens and playpark to burn off some energy. Also on site is Farmer Fred’s, an indoor adventure play barn with spiral slides, 3D rock face and interactive games.
Pensthorpe Natural Park
Voted Norfolk’s best large attraction in 2014 and 2015, Pensthorpe Natural Park is bursting with activities to inspire every generation. The nature reserve is home to a huge variety of habitats, all teeming with wildlife which can be viewed from trails, hides and aviaries, and there’s several gardens and a play area.
