Published: 09/05/2019This week we are celebrating Sowerbys being in business for a quarter of a century!
Sowerbys was started by Max Sowerby in a small office in Burnham Market on the north Norfolk coast. Disillusioned with the lack of client care, Max left the corporate world in 1994, as he wanted to create an independent business which put the client at the heart of everything he did, and that remains his ethos to this day.

Since those humble beginnings, we have grown to become Norfolk's leading independent property specialists; we love this county and its properties and know it like the back of our hands. Max continued to expand and in 2004 was joined by business partner, Lloyd Sandy. Together they have built on the Sowerbys name which has become synonymous with first class service, traditional values and innovative marketing.
From that first office in Burnham Market, we now have the county covered with offices from King's Lynn to Wells-next-the-Sea and Hunstanton on the coast, the market towns of Holt, Dereham and Watton, to the city of Norwich at the prestigious Old Bank of England building.
The property market in the last 25 years has had its highs and lows and seen many changes. But at Sowerbys, in the last two years especially, we are defying trends and have made a huge investment in people, increased the use of the latest marketing technology and enjoyed further expansion and office renovations.
Excitingly, this year we will be expanding our stunning Norwich office and opening a brand new office in Fakenham, bringing the total up to nine premises across Norfolk.

Keep your eyes peeled for more news on these much anticipated developments!
Cheers to another 25 years.
