Holt Lights put on another remarkable Christmas light switch on event this year which saw thousands of people fill the streets to join in the annual festive antics.

The evening included live music, a parade, carol singing, lots of food and the highly anticipated Pantomime Horse Race! This year, local businesses in their teams of three competed to be in with the chance of winning the Holt Christmas Lights trophy, sponsored by Sowerbys.

The winners of the race were Barclays of Holt who beat their opponents whilst galloping down Holt high street and back again. Holt branch manager, Paul Newell, presented the winning team with the trophy before the evening continued.
Olly Day and Helen McDermott were then joined on stage by Father Christmas to turn on the lights and start the firework display, officially marking the start of the festive period in Norfolk.
