The seaside town of Cromer in Norfolk looks set to be a hotspot for UK buyers in 2022.
Spring demand for property on the coast has kicked off early this year at Sowerbys Estate Agents.
The Norfolk Property Specialist’s Holt branch has seen almost double the number of properties coming to the market in January in comparison to the average seen in the last quarter of 2021.
Among those, many of the properties seeing success when listed are in Cromer.
Paul Newell, Local Director for our Holt office says “Spring is always a popular time for vendors to come to market with an influx of footfall to the coast over the warmer months.
“However, this movement seems to be kickstarting early in 2022 with many people looking to hit the ground running in the new year and put themselves in the strongest possible position when looking for their onward move.
“Over the course of the past 12 months, like most of the country, Norfolk witnessed a huge supply and demand movement; here in the Holt office we witnessed properties selling above asking price with unprecedented competition from buyers looking to enjoy the superb lifestyle and warm community this area has to offer.
“With the seasonal uplift approaching, smart vendors are looking to get ahead and put their property on the market early in 2022.
“Additionally, with many still opting for a staycation rather than an overseas holiday, there is more footfall which comes hand in hand with greater exposure to a new age of potential buyers.
“Compound that with people now seeking a flexible work from home lifestyle, Cromer’s timeless appeal as a beautiful seaside town, a thriving High Street awash with creative traders and locals with entrepreneurial spirit and of course it’s great connections to Norwich and the capital – it’s little wonder Cromer is enjoying somewhat of a buzz of late.”
