Meet the team: Harry

Published: 29/09/2020

We have decided to bring back our 'meet the team' series, especially since we have recently had a few new people join the team!

These are a great way for you to get to know more about the amazing people who are so integral to Sowerbys.

This week, we're talking to Harry Thompson who is our new Land and New Homes Specialist in our Fakenham office....

What is your role, what does it involve and what do you love about it?

I have joined Sowerbys as a Land and New Homes Specialist.  Since starting at the beginning of September I have spent time working within the Fakenham sales team who have been fantastic in training me up in estate agency before I move over to the Land and New Homes department.  Without a doubt the best part of the job so far has been the people, I have thoroughly enjoyed engaging with our customers and helping them in any way I can.

What is your favourite thing to do outside of work?

Running - getting my trainers on and plugging in some tunes is how I relax.  Moving to Norfolk has pushed me into the next phase too – 10K runs have now become 15K-20K runs with routes including the beach which is just awesome!  If I’m not running you will find me playing a character in one of my daughter’s made up stories (more often than not wearing a tiara…) or dancing around the lounge to music  with my 2 year old son.

What is your favourite food/meal?

Indian food all the way.  It is just so incredibly interesting, there is so much you can do and experiment with – it never stops giving!

Do you have a favourite film/TV show?

Frasier.  It is such a well written comedy, It just makes me so happy when I watch it.

What do you love most about living in Norfolk?

Beach days with my wife and children, nothing comes close to feeling the sand between your toes and watching the little ones play for hours without asking – what now or what’s next.   It’s a winner all round, especially if we finish off with a scoop of double chocolate ice cream!
