Published: 12/05/2020The next member of the team to answer our lockdown questions is... Joanna, who has worked at Sowerbys for an amazing 13 years!
Joanna is Residential Sales Manager at our Watton branch and is spending lockdown working from home with her dog and cat keeping her company.
What has been your favourite lockdown meal so far?
Homemade coffee and walnut cake and Lasagne with lots of mozzarella on top. I also made a paella with prawns, chorizo and chicken.
I usually spend much of my evenings in the gym or swimming pool and with both of these closed, I find I have a lot more time to do these things.
What is the best thing you have watched?
The Nest on BBC1, very gripping with lots of twists.
What is your favourite lockdown activity?
I always enjoy cycling and the recent improvement in weather has allowed for more of this.
How are you finding working from home?
I’m finding that working from home is enjoyable. I find there is far more time in the day, less time is wasted travelling to and from work and life is far more civilized with the extra amount of time that working from home offers. Most of our office work is by email or telephone anyway and so it doesn’t affect things much.
I find I am making sure that I take my lunchbreaks, (for a change) and getting out of the house for this time is important, going out for a walk or jog etc.. Working from home has provided relief from that frantic treadmill of life feeling and in turn I feel that I have had more time to spend with clients. Apart from that, the pets cause chaos!
What is the thing you're most looking forward to doing when lockdown is over?
I’m really looking forward to getting back in the swimming pool. I usually swim every day or so and this really helps me.
I’m also really looking forward to being able to go on holiday as soon as we are able. I was due to go to Kos, and France with the bikes and both of these have had to be cancelled.
