Norfolk Day: Why Sowerbys loves Norfolk

Whether it’s helping people relocate to our stunning county or finding locals their next property, Sowerbys has heard so many reasons why people love Norfolk.

What better time than Norfolk Day to celebrate some of those?

To mark the day of appreciation for our county the Sowerby’s team shares what it is that makes them proud to live and work in Norfolk:

Sowerby’s Sales Director Will Lightfoot said: “I know everyone says the same but it’s the wide open spaces and big skies which make it such an incredible place to live.

“One of my favourite things is getting up early to enjoy an amazing sunrise at the beach, or watching the sunset over a bottle of something with a fish and chip supper.

“The rural scenery in Norfolk is simply stunning and we’re spoilt with so many gorgeous brick and flint properties.”

Paula Tuck, Branch Manager at Sowerby’s Fakenham lives in Brisley, where her husband’s family have a history spanning over 200 years.

She said: “ We love where we live, overlooking one of the largest privately owned areas of grazing, common land.  After a short walk over the common, we are privileged to take sustenance at our renowned village pub, The Bell.”

Peter Hurrell, Land and New Homes Manager it’s the overall location.

He said: “For me it’s just the all-round lifestyle Norfolk offers. Form pace of life – the countryside and access to the coast, to the bustle of historic city centre.”

But for Norwich Branch Manager Jonathan Wood it’s the open skies and space.

Jonathan lives just outside Pulham Market and added: “Living there, I am surrounded by open countryside for which I love.

“Big skies and complete darkness at night.  Only the sound of the birds in the morning.”

If you already live in Norfolk, we hope you agree with some of our favourite things about the county – and if you don’t, perhaps this will be enough to persuaded you to make the move!
