With restrictions starting to ease and Easter looming, it’s great to see there are quite a few events taking place throughout the holidays – to stop you and the children driving yourselves mad!We’ve put together a selection of events across the county, from Easter egg hunts and trails to an online puppet show, there’s plenty to get involved with, and all within the current guidelines.
Easter adventure quest at Framlingham Castle

Every day of the holidays, Framlingham Castle are holding Easter Adventure Quests between 10am-5pm. The quest involves solving clues and finding dragon eggs on quest boards whilst you explore the outdoor trail around the castle. Those who track down the hatched dragon will receive a certificate and a chocolate treat!Tickers are just £1.50 per child.

National Trust Easter egg hunts

This Easter the National Trust are celebrating by inviting you and the family to their Easter egg adventures across the county, starting from 29th March and over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
There are a number of different places in East Anglia where you can go to enjoy one of the Easter egg trails, including Blickling Estate, Felbrigg Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Sheringham Park. Simply complete the trail and earn your chocolate reward! Tickets are required to be booked in advance.

An Eggtastic Easter at Norwich Puppet Theatre

Norwich Puppet Theatre are offering some Dr Seuss style fun this Easter, with Garlic Theatre’s zany new online show, Eggs on Legs. Families also have the chance to get crafty with an Eggstravaganza workshop to accompany the show.
On Saturday 17th April, the Theatre are hosting some naughty runaway sheep with Knuckle and Joint Theatre’s interactive and sensory show The Adventures of Bo Peep.

Wildlife Activity Day in Attleborough

Peter Beales Roses garden centre in Attleborough are holding a Wildlife Activity Day on Wednesday 8th April between 10am-3pm. The fun packed day will be full of wildlife themed crafts, activities and face painting, taking place within their beautiful rose and wildlife gardens.
As well as the many free crafts on offer, Hodmedod’s Hedgehog Support will also be attending and offering some fantastic activities!
Free entry and no need to pre-book! A small charge will apply for face painting.

An egg-mazing Easter Treasure Hunt at Hoveton Hall Gardens

From 10th-13th April, Hoveton Hall Gardens near Wroxham are going to be holding Easter treasure hunts. Following the clues, the treasure hunt will take you all around the gardens ending at the tearooms to collect a prize. There will also be a mini Easter egg hunt around the walled gardens for children under five.
Entry to the gardens is £7.50 per adult, £4 for children aged 4 -16, concessions £6.50, under 4’s are FREE. Once you have paid your admission, the Easter Treasure Hunt and Toddler Egg Hunt is free to take part.

Easter at Fairhaven Garden

Every day during the holidays, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham are holding Scavenger Hunting in the woods! They will also be doing a special Dawn Chorus boast trip and breakfast on 4th April and an annual Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday, as well as face painting and Easter craft activities.

The Easter Country Show at Elveden Estate

Elveden Estate are holding their annual Easter Country Show on 3rd and 4th April – the event with something for everyone! A great day out for all the family, you can enjoy main ring attractions, Punch and Judy, magic shows, petting farms, shopping and more.
