It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! With the countdown to the big day on, here is a round up of some fantastic festive events that are happening this month across Norfolk...

Cromer Pier Christmas Show

A show that will warm your hearts and get you ready for Christmas with lots of festive fun! The show has become one of the top 'must see' family Christmas shows in Norfolk and includes; comedy, singing, dancing and lots of glitzy costumes. All round entertainer and local lad Olly Day will also be returning to the show for his eleventh year.

The Polar Express Train Ride 

See The Polar Express being theatrically recreated on this magical train ride with Mid Norfolk Railway. Departing from Dereham train station, the journey will see scenes from the film come to life with dancing chefs and waiters bringing you cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy along the way. Both the inside and the outside of the train springs to life and each passenger will receive their own 'first gift of Christmas' from Father Christmas.

Santa's Grotto at Thetford Garden Centre

A chance to meet Father Christmas as he returns from the North Pole to his new grotto! Children can meet and talk to Santa, tell him what they would like for Christmas and have their photos taken with him. Each child will receive a special present from Santa.

Christmas Celebration at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure

A magical and immersive Christmas experience for the whole family! There is plenty of festive fun to be had with the chance to meet Father Christmas in his new grotto, find the hidden candy canes around the park, take part in Christmas arts and crafts and tackle the Narnia themed Christmas maze! There will also be disco dancing with dino, the opportunity to meet the animals and plenty of indoor play space.

The Snowman and the Snowdog BrickLive Tour

Visit Banham Zoo to see the world premiere of The Snowman and the Snowdog BrickLive Tour! Inspired by the much-loved animated film, there is the chance to meet your favourite characters this Christmas with this magical new tour. The trail can be explored at leisure throughout the day, or, each Saturday from 7pm, visitors can enjoy the trail among the festive illuminations and also meet Santa!

Rock and Roll Bingo

Bingo with a twist! Rock and Roll bingo sees the numbers on the bingo cards replaced with artists and song titles, simply listen out for the songs being played and mark them off. This would make the perfect alternative 'Christmas party' with the option to book a pre-bingo meal. The event is raising money for the Shouldham Ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

Festive Food Fair at Holkham Hall

The best local and regional producers will be showcasing their seasonal food and drink for you to try and buy, including; homemade jams, chutneys and cheese and Norfolk gins, wines and beers. There will also be a live cookery theatre featuring local chefs to keep visitors entertained throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to grab some last minute gifts!

Victorian Family Christmas at Gressenhall Museum

Turn back time and get into the festive spirit by enjoying this traditional Christmas celebration at Gressenhall museum. Explore the museum and meet a number of costumed characters along the way! Complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie for everyone.

Norwich Vegan Christmas Festival 2019

Back for another year, the festive Vegan Festival has food, lots of stalls, live music and entertainment for all the family! The festival will have performances from the City of Norwich Brass Band and Norwich Community choir.

The Royals at Sandringham Church

Head down to Sandringham church to see the Royals as they make their annual visit to the Christmas day service. It's a very good opportunity to see many members of the Royal Family, those who usually attend include; the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. Be sure to get there early for a good spot!
