I started Sowerbys back in 1994 as one man and a dog in the quirky Old Forge Building in Burnham Market. My business plan was simple and remains so, which is to give a first-class personal service and give our clients the peace of mind that we have their interests at the heart of everything we do. I love property and I hope this shines through; if you visit any of our eight branches across Norfolk to see how we are changing the face of Estate Agency for the better.

Group Operations Manager
My role as Group Operations Manager overseas a diverse range of responsibilities to make sure our customers experience the very best in terms of service and quality, whilst ensuring Sowerbys stay at the cutting edge of both compliance and industry standards. I have always wanted to work for a local company that matched my own ethos of truly putting the customer at the heart of everything, with an honest and friendly approach.
Group Sales Manager
I began working in property in 2001 and before joining Sowerbys I was a regional manager for the UK’s largest independent estate agent. I am lucky enough to work in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK in my opinion, and after spending three years as the manager of Sowerbys Burnham Market, I am now proud to be the Group Sales Manager. The key to being a successful estate agent is very simple - honesty, enthusiasm and always delivering what you promise.
Starting my agency career in 1997 in London after leaving the Royal Navy, I returned to by beloved Norfolk in 2001. I am delighted to hold the position of Branch Manager and Valuer here in Norwich and to be part of the highly experienced and customer focused Sowerbys team. My knowledge and specialism is providing expert advice to my clients on how to achieve the very best possible price combined with the most appropriate marketing campaign.

I have lived in Norfolk all my life and specialised in the lettings sector throughout my career, completing several Industry leading courses to ensure I can offer my clients a first class and reliable service. I have lived in Norwich for many years and love the city. Previously I have had roles in the hospitality and retail industry but estate agency is more rewarding and more of a challenge. I love working for Sowerbys, where the ethos of a friendly approach and excellent customer service is at the core of what we do.
Fleur Van Gramberg
Originally from Surrey, I have lived in Norfolk since 2008 and am proud to call it home! Having worked for national and local agencies in and around Norfolk over the last few years, I have gained a good understanding of the market. Sowerbys’ approach to client service and marketing is refreshing, and the whole team are the best in the industry.
I was born and educated in Norfolk and moved away in my early twenties to fulfil my dream of working for airlines. After returning to our beautiful county, I started my estate agency career in 2003 working for a high-end international agency. I am delighted to be part of the Sowerbys team here in Norwich, where I have continued my enjoyment of building client relations and selling some of Norfolk’s finest properties.
For most of my life, I've lived in and around Norfolk. I enjoy meeting people, so working in this industry provides an opportunity to discuss with landlords their reasons for letting, find out their concerns and hopes for their property and assist with ongoing aspects of tenancies. Most people appreciate a little extra care and attention and my own experience of moving home has helped me to understand how important it is to choose the right home to suit your lifestyle.
Before working in lettings, I have worked in the banking industry, retail and trade sales management. During my working career I have developed key skills in people management and customer service. Sowerbys ethos truly matches my own values and offers me the opportunity to utilise these key skills to always provide excellent customer service to all our landlords and tenants.
Having been born and brought up in a farming family in North Norfolk I initially chose a career in the army as a paratrooper until I discovered I was to become a father and thought I had better settle down and do something a little less dangerous! I started as an estate agent 15 years ago and throughout my career I have always admired the brand and reputation of Sowerbys. To work with such a great team, for such a customer focus driven company and in such a beautiful part of the county is an absolute privilege.
I joined Sowerbys in the spring 2010 having transferred from a corporate agency to the Burnham Market office. So many of our vendors see us as the obvious choice to reinstruct, as they have come to rely on Sowerbys professionalism care and personal service. It is not unusual for purchasers to pop back in to the office to let us know how they are changing their new homes!

I moved from Western Australia in 2012 and fell in love with Norfolk, the North Norfolk Coast and a Norfolk Girl! I have always had a sales background and when I was given an opportunity in 2015 to start a career in estate agency, with a large estate agency group, I jumped at it. Sowerbys is a company I have long admired; the professional approach and the care Sowerbys give their clientele is something that totally rings true with me.
After moving from London at an early age, it really did not take me long to fall in love with all that Norfolk has to offer. I have always had a passion for property and had always heard a lot about Sowerbys’ unrivalled reputation for treatment towards clientele and staff. Now, being part of it, I have never felt so proud to work with such an amazing team.
I have lived in north-west Norfolk all my life and know and love this beautiful part of the world. Customer satisfaction has always been at the heart of my professional life, so, after my two daughters were born, the transition from home retail to estate agency was a natural move for me in 2013. I have worked in Burnham Market for 6 years and I’m delighted to have joined the Sowerbys family. Growing up in North West Norfolk has provided me with an excellent understanding of the local area, not only geographically but also the people, which make the Norfolk area a truly special place to live and work. I was delighted to return to Norfolk in 2008 having spent a very happy childhood in the Dereham area. After years of renovating, refurbishing and extending my own properties, together with working in agency since 2000, I am truly passionate about property. I have always lived and worked locally and therefore have excellent local knowledge and I really enjoy matching sellers with purchasers to achieve a successful move.
My career in Estate Agency started in 1996 and I joined the Sowerbys family in 2011. I feel blessed to live in such a wonderful county and feel very much part of the community. My role involves me advising and assisting clients on some of the most diverse and interesting residential properties the area has to offer. I am very proud to be part of the Sowerbys success story and to work with some of the best people in the property industry.
Being a Norfolk boy born and bred, I’ve grown to develop a great love for the area and have great knowledge of all the county has to offer. I joined Sowerbys in 2007 and am now based at the Holt office as a Residential Sales Negotiator, which I thoroughly enjoy. I get an enormous amount of pleasure from meeting new people and assisting them in their search for their dream home. l was lucky enough to build my current property from scratch which I project managed. This was a fantastic experience and educated me in all aspects of planning and building work.
Having always been interested in the world of property, I took a leap and changed careers in 2015. Getting to meet new people every day and helping people find their perfect home is why I fell in love with the job instantly. The best part is handing the keys over to the buyers knowing that you’ve helped them reach the next chapter of their lives. I feel very lucky to now work for such a fantastic company and be a part of the Holt team.
Being born and raised in Norfolk I know how diverse the county is. I have been fortunate enough to work and travel around the world, but nothing inspires me more than my home county. I am the Office Administrator for the Holt and Wells offices. As an experienced administrator with a background in marketing and customer service, I am able to use all my skills to help sellers and buyers achieve their goals. I've found the perfect job, working for a company and within a team that really cares about the service it offers.
As a family man with 2 children I really appreciate how blessed I am to have lived in Norfolk for the last 17 years. Most of the time has been working in Hunstanton and I truly feel like part of the community. I was delighted to be offered a position in the Sowerbys negotiating team at Hunstanton in 2007 after previously working as an estate agent in Malvern, Worcestershire since 1996. Having relocated in recent years myself, I thoroughly enjoy helping our clients to do the same both locally and further afield.

I was brought up and educated in Norfolk, so I am naturally fond of the area, having great knowledge of the county. Having sold and bought through Sowerbys myself prior to joining in 2007, I am very proud to be part of a sincere and dynamic team, offering an excellent and proactive service to sellers and home buyers equally.
Having recently purchased my family home with my two children in Norfolk, I have since fallen in love with the picturesque area and it is now what we are happy to call home. I moved to the UK back in 2007 with the intention to further my studies, a few years later I graduated with a marketing degree. In 2015 I decided to take a leap of faith, I moved from working as an area manager in retail to working within estate agency. The transition felt so natural to me, as I have always had a passion for the property market, I have never looked back. When Sowerbys approached me to join their family, it was the easiest decision for me to make. The client always sits at the heart of everything they do, which also matches my view on exceptional customer service which makes me feel proud to be a part of their team.
I joined Sowerbys in July 2017, bringing my experience as a sales negotiator and a Level 3 Diploma in the Sale of Residential Property. Throughout my career, the roles I have undertaken have been focused around customer care, this is something I feel very strongly about. People say, do a job that you love and you will never work a day in your life, and I can honestly say there is something in that.
After being fortunate enough to travel the world extensively for the past 10 years, I feel exceptionally lucky to be returning to my home county of Norfolk where I am coming to appreciate, in a new way, this incredibly beautiful, historic and culturally richer part of the country. Having lived in Norfolk all my life, I have gained a great knowledge of the region. I have always worked in a customer focused environment and have spent much of it in lettings. Having always lived in the King’s Lynn area, I have in-depth knowledge of the region. I have a wealth of experience and a keen eye for detail gained from working in the property management sector and previously running a Domestic commercial cleaning business. I use these experiences to maintain the excellent customer focused based service as a member of the Sowerbys team.
Having been in the lettings industry since the 1990s, I really enjoy being part of the team at Sowerbys. My varied role in the accounts side of the business includes receipting in tenant rents, paying landlords and contractors, reconciling bank balances and much more. I am extremely proud to be the Branch Manager at Sowerbys Watton and having been raised in the mid Norfolk area, I have extensive knowledge of the industry in this region. My aim is to ensure that every sale and tenancy runs smoothly from start to finish. Having experience of being a landlady, I understand the importance of a personal service.

I am proud to have worked for Sowerbys since 2007. For clients, buying and selling property can be enjoyable and exciting, but at times it can also be difficult and stressful. I therefore never underestimate the pressures this can have on our client’s lives, meaning I always approach my work empathetically and do my upmost to guide people carefully along the buying and selling process.
Having previously worked for a corporate company on the Broads, I moved to an independent agent on the east coast where I was valuing a broad range of properties. The best part of working for Sowerbys and valuing homes is being able to build relationships with customers and being able to see some spectacular homes.

I joined Sowerbys in 2015 and have worked in administration, lettings and sales, so I have a great understanding of many areas of the business. Now I am part of the Watton sales & lettings team which is fantastic. We offer an exceptional service at a competitive price and I look forward to helping clients old and new.
My career in lettings started with assisting clients with the house move process through translation which provided me with an excellent knowledge of the industry. This enabled me to build strong relationships with clients and gave me the ability to ensure the process is smooth as possible. As a Norfolk girl, educated in Fakenham and never having lived outside of the county, I am a lifelong local. My estate agency career began nearly twenty years ago, working in a number of Norfolk market towns, including Fakenham. I consider it an absolute privilege to have been appointed as Branch Manager of the Fakenham/Wells office, working alongside a family who share my ideals and puts the customer experience at the heart of everything they do.
I have lived and breathed the Norfolk sea air for over twenty years now and have always felt like a local. I joined the Sowerbys family back in 2005 and love that the service is all about the customer from start to finish. I have worked in the lettings industry for over 7 years, initially for a large corporate estate agency where I gained key skills in customer service, extensive knowledge of the local lettings market and my qualification in lettings & property management. I enjoy building relationships with clients, from helping tenants find their ideal property to giving professional advice to landlords when selecting the right tenant.
Having grown up with an interest in property, I started a career in estate agency and have worked in both corporate and independent environments. I enjoy my varied job role, building relationships with both tenants and landlords and working as a team with my colleagues to create a professional and personal experience for clients. My next step will be to take my ARLA exams.

I initially started working in the property industry in 2007 in a large corporate estate agency, where I gained my ARLA qualification and extensive knowledge in letting and property management. I moved to Sowerbys in 2013 as I wanted to provide a personal service and now find it rewarding to have helped so many people with the management of their property. I strive to give excellent customer care and professional advice to all our landlords and tenants.

Upon leaving university and entering the ‘real world’, I moved to Norfolk and began my career in estate agency working for a corporate city centre agent for several years, achieving my professional qualification. In 2017, I made the move to an independent agent where I further honed my customer services skills and built my industry knowledge. Sowerbys strikes the perfect balance between the two and I really enjoy being part of the most respected property management team in the industry.

I started my career in estate agency in the late 1980's, moving into the marketing world in the 1990's. To be able to combine both passions and be part of the team in the most respected estate agency in the county still feels like a dream come true. I have the best marketing team I have ever had who continually strive to further enhance and develop the strong ethics of this amazing agency. Our aim is to continue to offer clients the absolute best marketing available in the industry.

I was born, raised and educated in Norfolk and was lucky enough in 2016, to join the well respected Sowerbys team. I am fortunate enough to have experience as a sales negotiator as well as within our marketing and administration department, which gives me a great knowledge of the whole sales and lettings process, from start to finish.
Having been born and raised in Norfolk, I have spent many years exploring and getting to know the county and I love everything it has to offer. With a background in both sales and customer service, my role as Marketing Assistant perfectly combines these skills in a very creative environment. Sharing the many beautiful homes we have on offer in the area is a real privilege.

I am the Office Administrator for the Burnham Market, Hunstanton & Norwich offices. I feel very proud to be working for Sowerbys and love being part of such a dedicated team. My role as Administrator is very rewarding and I enjoy using my skills and experience to provide a first-class service to our clients.
Group Design Administration Manager (Maternity Leave)
I joined Sowerbys in 2012 after working in a retail and customer service environment. I thoroughly enjoy working for Sowerbys and my role includes creating detailed property brochures and overseeing the property administration for Sowerbys as a whole. I have gained invaluable experience whilst in this role and enjoy providing new and existing clients with a first-class service.
I joined Sowerbys in 2004, having spent over 15 years in Accountancy practice. Since then I have seen the company grow both in office locations and staff. My role within Sowerbys is diverse and challenging and always rewarding. Never let it be said that an accountant’s job is a boring one!
Having lived locally all my life, I know just how special it is to live and work in this beautiful area of North Norfolk. I have spent many years working in the Holiday cottage industry in Norfolk and welcomed many families back year after year, who then decide to buy in the area.

Simon started his career in financial services in 1996, and over the course of his career has gained extensive experience of the financial services industry including mortgage, insurance and investment sectors. Simon enjoys specialising in clients with complex residential property funding requirements, Buy to Let portfolio landlords, Limited Company Buy to Let finance and specialist insurances.
Independent Mortgage & Insurance Adviser
Having started his financial services career with Norwich Union in 1977, Russell went on to work as a broker consultant then an independent residential and buy to let mortgage adviser. He then qualified as an Equity Release/Lifetime Mortgage Consultant. Russell has strong links with many solicitors in the Norfolk area who can also advise clients on Equity Release/Lifetime Mortgages to ensure a complete service is provided.
Independent Mortgage & Insurance Adviser
Born in Norfolk, Howard started a career in the world of Estate Agency in 2003 as a trainee, giving him experience and a great footing into the world of the property industry and how it all functions. After completing his ‘Cemap’ mortgage qualifications, Howard now deals with clients from first time buyers to multiple property landlords, providing them with whole of market unbiased advice.

Jonny started his career in financial services in 2004 and can provide focused, client specific advice relating to the arrangement of mortgage finance and insurances. He enjoys specialising in clients with complex residential property funding requirements, buy to let portfolio landlords, Limited Company buy to let finance and specialist insurances. Jonny is also a Help to Buy and New Build property specialist.

Chris started his career in financial services in 2004 at Aviva, and over the course of his career has gained extensive experience of the financial services industry. As well as his mortgage adviser qualifications, Chris has also completed his further qualifications in regard to pension and investment advice. He is a lifetime Norfolk resident and has built an extensive network of professional contacts across the county to assist in the planning of his client’s financial affairs.

Karl started his career in financial services in 2004 at Aviva, and over the course of his career has gained extensive experience of the financial services industry. Karl is a lifetime Norfolk resident and enjoys networking at B2B events and more social events such as the Norfolk Show. As such, Karl has created a comprehensive professional and social network of contacts across the county to assist in the planning of his client’s financial affairs.
