Blakeney sits in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a picturesque quay overlooking marshes, and a winding tidal channel filled with boats, it is one of the most popular villages on the North Norfolk Coast. Brick and flint cottages line narrow streets that wind down to the harbour where the Blakeney Hotel and Blakeney Manor Hotel offer some of the best views. Larger, elegant luxury properties and contemporary prestige homes sit back from the harbour, some with walled gardens. Blakeney has a small supermarket and a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs. There is also a doctor’s surgery and a primary school. The Georgian market town of Holt is seven miles to the east with a wide range of shops and designer boutiques as well as Gresham's School. Its links make Blakeney especially popular for both retirement and growing families.
"I can't thank you all enough for the excellent way everyone at Sowerbys handled my sale. From the initial meeting with Max, the superb brochure with his pictures, to my contact with all in the office, Joanna, Toby and Flora, it was always a pleasure to see and talk to them. A special thanks for Joanna who was regularly in contact with me, updating me on feedback and booking viewers. It says much for the firm that viewers arrived on time and were genuinely interested in the property. I will certainly be recommending them to friends and returning the next time I move home. With grateful thanks Sonia Lindqvist "
