3 Bedroom Cottage For Sale
When our clients first cast their eyes on to what would become their new home, they instantly fell in love. However, they also knew they had their work cut out and immediately set out on a complete program of refurbishment.
Whilst the chapel has an obvious front door and a very impressive entrance, this is currently used on those special occasions. From the front gate there is a lovely little path which meanders to the side of the chapel and to what the current owners use as their front door.
Stepping through this door we arrive in what is now the main entrance hall, however once upon a time it would have been the Sunday school which was originally attached to the rear of the chapel. The three bedrooms and a family bathroom are accessed from the long hallway.
The kitchen is also off this hallway but walking through the doors you are stepping from the old school rooms into the original chapel.
Before the family took up ownership this was just one large room. However, they have cleverly put a mezzanine level above the kitchen, creating a separate space with a homely feel. The dining area has become a great place for family and friends to get together and share a warming meal.
It is not until you step through the kitchen that you really get the sense of the chapel. Here you have a large double-height reception room packed with character and charm including, lancet-style windows that are akin to the original windows that would have once stood in their place.
Outside and to the rear is a lovely cottage style garden complete with vegetable patch. To the front the cottage garden continues and to the side of the property there is parking for two cars.
