Guist Road, Foulsham, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20

££575,000 Guide

4 Bedroom Detached House For Sale

Upon entering the property you step into a large inviting hallway, with all the ground floor rooms leading off the central hall. The well-proportioned sitting room is complete with an attractive exposed brick and oak fireplace with in-built log burner and double doors leading into the garden. The real hub of the household is the kitchen/dining room, a lovely space with many family meals and board games played at the table. A second door opens out on to the garden and patio area. The downstairs also benefits from a WC and a utility room.

Upstairs there are four very good-sized double bedrooms with the primary having an en-suite and the other three sharing the family bathroom.

Outside and to the rear, the garden is of a large size and is mainly laid to lawn. There is a garage that has been converted into a home gym but could easily be an office. There is also a separate area to the rear for storage. To the front of the property is shingle driveway with ample parking for several cars.

FOULSHAM A typical Norfolk village, quietly positioned on a small lane. Foulsham, which means "Homestead of the birds" is just off the A1067 Norwich to Fakenham road. The lovely 14th century 'Church of The Holy Innocent' was burnt severely in a fire in 1770 and was rebuilt with its 15th century tower intact. Foulsham is in the Reepham High School catchment area.

Nestled in the Brecklands, 11 miles away in the heart of the county, Dereham is a classic country market town and an architectural haven.

A twice weekly market, on Tuesdays and Fridays, along with a strong cohort of independent and specialist shops and free parking make the town a fabulous place for an afternoon spent browsing. Youngsters will relish a trip to Starlings toy store, and Roys department store, a family run business since 1895, is a one-stop shop for just about everything you need.
Look out for the town's other historic landmarks which include the Mid-Norfolk Railway, a heritage line which runs 1950s railcars to Wymondham Abbey, Dereham Windmill. Heritage buffs are spoilt for choice with living museum Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse just a few minutes out of town.

When you've worked up an appetite exploring, Dereham is home to one of Norfolk's best pubs, The Brisley Bell, which has a first-rate menu and a warm welcome which has earned it multiple awards, or spice things up with a tasty dish at Spice Fusion curry house. Otherwise head to The Old Dairy and stock up on its artisan bread and produce for an easy dine-in experience.

With good local schools, a leisure centre and golf course, Dereham and its surrounding villages are a fantastic spot to enjoy the best of Norfolk country living with easy commuting access to Norwich and the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea, just 22 miles away.
