Norfolk charity donation for every home sold as Sowerbys turns 30! hero

Supporting the local community continues to be at the forefront of Sowerbys Estate Agent’s ethos as the Norfolk estate agent commits to a charity donation for homes sold in its 30th year in business.

With nine branches across Norfolk, the team is proud to announce the pledge to make a positive impact in the local community in 2024.

The chosen charities, carefully selected to cover a range of vital community services, include:

-             Nelson's Journey, supporting children and young people in Norfolk who’ve experienced the death of a significant person.

-             St Martins Housing Trust, helping the homeless build a better life in Norwich and Norfolk.

-             The Big C, a local, people-first charity committed to providing outstanding cancer support.

-             Mind - Norfolk and Waveney, the mental health charity which believes no one should face a mental health problem alone.

-             East Anglian Air Ambulance, your local life-saving charity covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire.

Lloyd Sandy, Managing Director, said: "We are thrilled to launch this year-long charity initiative.

“Celebrating and being a part of the local community has always been at the core of our business ethos, from a team of local property specialists found on the high street, to promoting other independent businesses and community spirit.”

Sellers will choose which charity they would like to receive the donation on their behalf upon the successful sale of their home.

Max Sowerby, Managing Director, said: “In 2024 Sowerbys celebrates its 30th birthday! From opening in Burnham Market to nine offices across the county, each full of property specialists passionate about the homes, local area and people they work with is a wonderful achievement for the whole business.

“To mark our 30th year we want to give back to the communities which have supported us through the decades, involving our clients in the donation-making process."

Mr Sandy added: “This approach emphasises the company's commitment to community engagement and allows clients to actively participate in giving back to vital charities in the local area.”

The support doesn’t end there; Sowerbys will engage with the charities throughout the year, with personal visits by team members from each office, along with utilising the brands’ in house production team to create bespoke video material for the charities.

Sowerbys encourages its staff and clients to participate in fundraising activities throughout the year. The company is committed to promoting these charitable endeavours through its digital platforms, website, and other communication channels. Mr Sandy said: “The goal is to create a meaningful connection between the company, our clients, and the community organisations which play a crucial role in the region.”
