Renting your home with Sowerbys
I'm looking for a home to rent, what is the first step?
I've seen a home I like on the market to let?
I had a successful viewing and want to apply for a tenancy?
Once we've found your next home it's time to make a formal application to the landlord. We use a convenient online application form to gather all relevant information required and we will speak to the landlord on your behalf.
If the landlord accepts your offer, we'll send you an online link to begin the tenancy process, starting with gathering references from employers, landlords and credit agencies.
Once you’ve passed referencing it's time to start thinking about your move! We'll issue you with a tenancy agreement and relevant tenancy paperwork to sign, then we confirm your move in date.
What happens when it's time to move in and how much is my first rent?
We collect the first month's rent and 5 weeks deposit prior to move in; we'll organise a time for you to meet our check in clerk who will produce a fully comprehensive and photographic inventory prior to move in.
Move in day! We'll be there to hand over the keys and make sure you're happy. If we manage the property, we will be on hand with our dedicated property management team to assist you with any questions or property maintenance issues.
