April and May have been our most successful sales months ever across the company, but our Holt team have had a truly fantastic year so far. The figures are outstanding. They have agreed sales on over £38,000,000 worth of property, with houses ranging in value from £163,000 to £2,000,000.
Vendors are keen to get their properties on the market with 80 new listings for the office this year, but purchasers seem to be fuelling demand with 450 new buyers registered, 761 viewings conducted and 181 offers generated. The great news for vendors is that the rate of asking price achieved is an impressive 98%.
This success in 2019 is the culmination of 12 months of hard work in Holt, where their market share has grown to a commanding 38% as a result of 90 sales over £300,000 in the core areas of NR24 and NR25. The nearest competitor achieved just a fraction of this at 21 sales. In the last three months alone, 29 sales over £300,000 have been agreed, compared to 8 by the nearest competitor.
Looking at Rightmove, the statistics show that the conversion rate from ‘For Sale’ to ‘Sold Subject to Contract’ so far this year is 52% for Sowerbys. The next four rankings were all taken by national agents, but none exceeded 38%.
We know the market is strong in this county despite national trends, but our local knowledge and expertise means an increasing number of people are entrusting their properties to the north Norfolk experts.
