Popular north Norfolk village named one of the best in the UK.We are spoilt for choice when it comes to lovely villages in Norfolk, but here at Sowerbys we're not surprised that the highly sought-after Burnham Market has been voted one of the UK's best villages in a recent survey carried out by Which?
One of our classic brick-and-flint villages with Georgian houses clustered around the broad central green - Burnham Market is the only village in the county to make the list of the best towns and villages in the country.
People were asked to rate their favourite areas based on five different categories; food and drink, tourist attractions, attractiveness, scenery and peace and quiet.
Receiving an overall destination score of 71%, the popular village's attractiveness was rated most highly, getting four out of five stars.

Spencer Cushing, manager of our Burnham Market office says "I would challenge anyone to drive through the village of Burnham Market and not be struck by its quintessential Englishness.
With its eclectic mix of Georgian and Victorian buildings surrounding the village green and the Goosebeck stream running though the centre, as well as its wonderful variety of independent shops, such as the butchers, bakers and fish monger, it’s impossible not to fall in love with it.”
We couldn't agree more!
