Sowerbys Dream Team is now in its 15th year and over that time we have raised thousands of pounds for Cancer Research through Race for Life.

This year is especially poignant as we have sadly lost one of our former colleagues and great friends to cancer. On Tuesday evening, 16th July 2019, we joined almost 1,300 people in the Race For Life 5k at Houghton Hall. Just before the race officially kicked off, it was announced that a staggering £39,000 had been raised!
Before the race began, a special volunteer Mr Mick Ennis spoke about how he had sadly lost his wife and daughter to cancer. In memory of all those lost to cancer, we held a minute’s silence. Whilst the evening was incredibly hot and humid, the atmosphere was amazing, with supporters and well wishers staggered periodically around the 5k track to keep everyone smiling.
A big shout out goes to our fashionista and resident hare, Daniel Davies, who finished the race in a whopping 5th place!
