Published: 24/03/2022Hitting the pedals in April to raise vital funds for the people of Ukraine – that’s what members of the Sowerbys team are aiming to do.
Taking on the 115-mile trip from our Norwich office to our new King’s Lynn premises Bank Chambers is Managing Director Lloyd Sandy, Peter Hurrell, Sam Jones, and Philip Crookes.
Embarking on the approximately 10 hour journey beginning from our Norwich office, the team will then be making their way to every Sowerbys branch across Norfolk, before arriving at their final destination – Bank Chambers.
Land and New Homes Manager, Peter, who cycles regularly, initiated the idea and says “On a daily basis we watch the plight of the Ukrainian people unfold in front of our eyes.
“The parents in Ukraine face unthinkable outcomes and I know as a father that I wouldn’t want to walk even a mile in their shoes.
“As several of us are keen cyclists, it seemed like a great opportunity to put our time on the saddle to good use and see how far we can push ourselves to raise awareness.
“Cycling is a great way to explore Norfolk and as Spring is now here, it seemed the perfect thing to do to try and help in any way that we can.”
