How we spent our Thursdays together in May

How we spent our Thursdays together in May hero
With May being the home of Mental Health Week, we want to highlight great ways to prioritise your mental health.

In today's fast-paced and demanding world, it is paramount that we acknowledge and prioritise the significance of safeguarding our mental well-being.

For the first #ThursdaysTogether in May, we focused on Sauna Box.

Sauna therapy has been shown to affect our physical and mental health positively.

Spending time in a sauna can help reduce stress levels, alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improve overall mood while promoting better sleep quality.

You can find Sauna Box at Sea Palling, Dunwich and Chestnuts Campsite.

Next, we highlighted Park Run.

It has been scientifically proved that running can reduce anxiety.

Whether you want to walk or run the 5KM, this is a great way to clear your mind and lower stress levels.

Taking place throughout Norfolk at 9am EVERY Saturday and it's free!

Locations include: Holkham, Blicking, King's Lynn, Sheringham, Norwich, Thetford and more - there is one for everyone!

Start your weekend being active.

Thirdly, we focused on Norfolk Paddle Boards.

Did you know that engaging in paddleboarding activities can have a profound impact on mental well-being?

Physical Wellness: Paddleboarding is not only a fantastic workout but also a low-impact activity that enhances physical fitness.

Socials: Norfolk Paddleboards have social SUPs every week.

Join them at The Red Lion in Norwich on Mondays, Tuesdays at The White Heron in Brundall, and Thursdays at The River Garden in Norwich.

You'll connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for adventure and self-care by participating in group outings.

Escape the chaos as the weather gets warmer, and recharge your mind with calming waves and a breathtaking view; the beach is the ultimate mental retreat.

Nature's therapy: Connect with nature, soak up the beauty, and feel alive.

This connection helps ground you, providing perspective and reminding you of the world's vastness.

Mindful reflection: Observe seagulls soaring overhead and allow your thoughts to flow freely.

Embracing this mindful state enables self-reflection, enhances mental clarity, and fosters inner peace.
