Frequently asked questions
What will it cost?
Just as your home is unique, each sale has its own set of individual circumstances. Some costs to consider when it comes to selling include, removals fees, storage fees, solicitor fees and estate agent fees. We're happy to recommend a number of local businesses we trust who can help with these things.
At Sowerbys, we offer a no sale, no fee agreement which means that we undertake all marketing without it costing you a penny until we have succeeded in achieving a sale that you are happy with. When contracts have been signed, we will charge a pre-agreed percentage of the sale price of your property plus VAT, not payable until after completion.
How will you sell my home?
Our dedicated in-house marketing team will deliver a multimedia approach to advertising your property. From the high-quality feel of our bespoke brochures, to professionally presented films which will give your favourite TV property show a run for its money; from press coverage to social media content - enough for your family and friends can like, share and comment on.
From concept to creation, our marketeers work with closely with our property specialists, photography and videography crew - and you! We want to capture exactly what makes your home unique, because we understand that every home has a story to tell.

How do I get my home ready to sell?
Get yourself and your home in the best possible condition for sale! This means a good old fashioned tidy up of your paperwork and property. Talking to your mortgage adviser and/or solicitor can speed up processes further down the line; when it comes to the home, ensure it's photo and film ready! That might mean a spring clean, a lick of paint or simply mowing the lawn.

Will I have to complete an AML and ID verification process?
Yes, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and ID checks, are a legal requirement. We are obligated to ensure compliance with legislation and have partnered with Lifetime Legal, specialists in this field, to ensure this complex process is completed correctly for both buyers and sellers to avoid any surprises down the line. Passionate about our communities
We are local people ourselves, proud of the place we call home. As a family founded business for more than 30 years, we aim to deliver a family-like service which puts our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Our reputation is built on local knowledge, because we’re proud of the communities we are part of – and we can’t wait to welcome you into them too.
That’s why we support local charities, this year raising funds for Norfolk & Waveney Mind and Finnbarr’s Force. Last year, to mark our 30th anniversary, we raised more than £80,000 for causes across Norfolk.
Giving back has always been important to us, and with your support we are determined to continue making a meaningful impact.
