Brand new look for Sowerbys’ puts customers and community first
A new home is just the beginning when it comes to your experience of buying, selling or letting with Sowerbys Estate Agents.
The next chapter is here for the market-leading agent as a new website launches today (1st Feb 2023), with the purpose to put the client and community first.
“How will you sell my property?” is the question every vendor asks and Sowerbys’ major rebrand ensures the business continues to be known for its innovation.
Sowerbys ‘for sales’ boards and bespoke property brochures began showcasing the new branding in the latter part of 2022.
Property details are presented in a bespoke brochure, designed by a skilled in-house team with the aim of telling the story of the home, illustrating the best perspective – and sometimes its hidden past – but also, what makes the home and location special today.
Carly Grigglestone, Sowerbys’ Marketing Director, said: “Our business has always been about helping people discover the life they deserve.
“Our starting point for the rebrand was the new website; we spent a lot of time looking at our demographic now, and in the future, ensuring we are delivering what people want and deserve.
“This ethos runs through everything we produce; we wanted to turn traditional property marketing on its head. For us, it is not about traditional wide-angle photos and detailing fixtures and fittings, but offering a human perspective and showcasing how it feels to live in a home we bring to market.”
The rebrand has also seen Sowerbys' logo evolve, unifying the brand’s multi-media offering. The company’s signature ‘S’ is intertwined by a vine and can be found across ‘for sale’ and ‘to let’ boards, on brochures and throughout Sowerbys’ social media channels.
Carly added: “Being a part of and supporting our local community is one of our key brand values, we wanted the logo to represent this, while our slogan, ‘A new home is just the beginning’, nods to the importance our customers associate with moving house.”
Alongside traditional search tools, with Sowerbys new website customers can use the ‘bespoke search’ option to find a property based on their desired lifestyle: whether that’s ‘sea dipping and sandy toes’ to a ‘cosy cottage’.
Max Sowerby, joint Managing Director said: “I left the corporate world of property almost 30 years ago and started Sowerbys because I wanted every client to feel they had received a first-class service.
“That ethos remains firmly at our core. We are still driven by doing what is best for our customers, still proud champions of the places and communities, we represent, and still passionate about a new home and the change it can bring.
“We offer vendors an unparalleled service that is passionate, expert, and honest.
“Because a Sowerbys home now, is what it has always been, a place that propels you into a new way of life.”
Lloyd Sandy added: “We have always been known as market leaders, defying convention.
“We are proud to have a forward-thinking in-house marketing team at Sowerbys, on hand to showcase every home’s story; for us, that means working with our clients to truly capture the feeling of a property and the lifestyle available.
“We do not aim to be known as a typical estate agency brand, for us it is about offering a human perspective and inspiring people to want to know more.
