With high street branches across Norfolk, Sowerbys’ teams spend much of their time out in the field, meeting clients in their own homes. So, when it comes to getting together as colleagues, finding the right local spot matters.
For Dereham Branch Manager Darren Neave and the team, that place is The Brisley Bell.
“Homes matter, but the people behind them matter just as much,” Darren explains. “Places like The Brisley Bell give us the chance to step away from our desks and spend time together as a team. It’s relaxed, welcoming and full of character, the kind of place where conversations flow easily and you’re reminded why this area feels so special.”
These informal get-togethers play an important role in how the team works. Meeting outside the office helps strengthen relationships, making it easier to collaborate day to day and connect with clients in a more natural, grounded way.
“We’re a close-knit team of local people,” Darren adds, “and spots like this are part of our shared experience of Norfolk. It keeps us connected to the lifestyle we talk about every day with clients, because we’re living it too.”
And while The Brisley Bell is the firm favourite for relaxed catchups, Darren admits there’s always room for something a little more energetic: “If that sounds quite highbrow, paintballing would be our next choice for hanging out together!”
