Sowerbys scoops International Property Award

Sowerbys scoops International Property Award hero

Sowerbys has been recognised as an award winner at the International Property Awards for Best Estate Agency Website, United Kingdom.

The accolade highlights the strength of Sowerbys’ digital presence and its continued investment in delivering a clear, engaging and client-focused online experience. The website was designed to support intuitive browsing across all devices, with a particular focus on usability, performance and lifestyle-led search.

The award builds on Sowerbys’ earlier success at the International Property Awards, following regional wins in the 2022–23 programme for Real Estate Agency Marketing, Real Estate Agency Office, and Real Estate Agency Website.

The Sowerbys website was developed with a clear objective: to reflect how people actually search for property today. Rather than relying solely on traditional filters and postcodes, the platform supports a more lifestyle-led approach, allowing users to explore homes based on how they want to live.

Combined with a mobile-first design and carefully considered user journeys, the result is a calm, intuitive experience that prioritises clarity and ease of use at every stage.

All International Property Awards entries are judged by an independent panel of more than 80 industry experts, assessing criteria including design quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.

Now in its 29th year, the International Property Awards celebrate excellence across more than 50 residential and commercial property categories, attracting entries from the UK and around the world.

Sowerbys in-house marketing team is led by Carly Grigglestone, Marketing Director, supported by Adele Norris-Dugard, Head of Digital, New Homes Marketing Manager Mary Kinnaird, Marketing Manager Cindy Naylor and their teams; all work collaboratively to deliver bespoke marketing solutions for sellers and developers.

The success of the website is also a testament to the work of Jamie Read, Sowerbys Design and Website Lead, who played a vital role in its creation and continues to lead its ongoing development. Jamie’s focus on design integrity, usability and performance has been central to ensuring the platform evolves in line with user behaviour, brand direction and market expectations.

Jamie said: "At Sowerbys, we're a people-first business. When it has come to our website, and deciding the flow of content chunks, that same company principle remains at the forefront of our thinking.

"Every page is tailored to help guide you through a journey of Sowerbys - what information you'll need and when.

"To receive an award for this specific area of our marketing is a testament to our whole team and the way we all work to achieve the best for our customers."

As an in-house department, the marketing team delivers everything from unique, design-led brochures and creative social content - supported by the wider visual media team - to a dedicated New Homes division providing services ranging from branding to on-site marketing materials. This integrated approach ensures every campaign is tailored, strategic and impactful.

The goal is simple: continually adapt to market trends, remain innovative, and showcase properties - and the local lifestyle - in the most accurate, engaging way possible.

This latest recognition reflects Sowerbys’ long-term commitment to digital strategy and brand-led marketing. By treating the website as a core foundation of the customer experience - rather than a standalone marketing asset - the business continues to set standards for clarity, usability and innovation within the property sector.

Sowerbys remains focused on evolving its digital platforms to meet changing client expectations, ensuring its online experience continues to support buyers, sellers and landlords at every stage of their property journey.
