The Lodge, Drayton - The Story So Far
Set within ten acres of mature woodland on the edge of Norwich, The Lodge at Drayton is more than a collection of homes - it’s a place to belong.
A place where life feels calmer, neighbours become friends, and every detail has been considered to create a community people are proud to call home.
This page brings together a visual archive of our journey so far - a rich collection of photography, films, brochures and stories that capture the character of The Lodge and the residents who live here. From the careful restoration of the original 1914 manor lodge to the creation of striking, eco-led homes that sit in harmony with their surroundings, every decision has been curated with a deep respect for the location, the heritage and, indeed, the lifestyle of future residents.
For more than five years, Hidden Talents Homes and Sowerbys have worked hand-in-hand to bring this vision to life. Together, we have shared a commitment to quality, authenticity and the belief that a home should offer not just comfort, but a sense of connection - to nature, to place and to community.
The Lodge is a shining example of what happens when great design meets genuine care. This archive is a celebration of that partnership - and of the enduring legacy being built here for generations to enjoy.
The Journey of The Lodge
Phase 1
The first release at The Lodge, set within the original Manor building, offered a unique opportunity to own part of a truly special place. From grand ceiling heights to period features reimagined for modern living, each of the five homes felt timeless and individual. With a mix of apartments and townhouses, it was an instant success - every home was reserved in a matter of weeks.
People were drawn to the character, the setting, and the thoughtful approach to restoration. These weren’t just conversions; they were carefully curated homes where the past and present met in harmony. A perfect opening chapter to what would become one of Drayton’s most talked-about developments.
Homes in Phase 1 include:
- Paston House
- Raikes
- Garden View
- East View
- Treetops

Phase 2
The second phase at The Lodge introduced a thoughtfully curated mix of eco-led new build homes alongside the final collection of beautifully restored period properties within the Manor Lodge. Among them, Fastolf House stood out – an elegant end townhouse with a sun-drenched south-facing garden – while two characterful apartments were reserved off-plan long before construction even began. This phase continued the legacy of blending heritage charm with modern comfort, giving buyers the opportunity to own a home that is both distinctive in style and exceptional in quality.
Hidden Talents Homes brought their hallmark design approach to the new builds, incorporating triple-glazed windows and doors, mechanical ventilation systems delivering clean, filtered air, and the same high specification seen throughout the Manor Lodge. Architectural details such as overshot roofs and traditional chimneys ensured these eco-conscious homes still felt rooted in timeless design. The result was a collection that married efficiency with elegance – homes that felt perfectly at home within the landscape, and that quickly became some of the most sought-after properties in the development.
Homes in Phase 2 include:
- Fastolf House
- Westview
- Corner View
- Carter House
- Stower House
- Cypress
- Wensum View
- The Oaks

Phase 3
Phase 3 marked the beginning of The Lodge’s fully new-build chapter, with the restoration of the Manor Lodge now complete and its period homes warmly lived in. Hidden Talents Homes turned their attention to creating a distinctive collection of semi-detached and detached properties, including the four striking semi-detached homes that now define the entrance to this prestigious development. With thoughtful layouts, considered detailing, and a seamless blend of form and function, these homes set the tone for the next era of The Lodge.
From this phase onwards, Hidden Talents Homes committed exclusively to Air Source Heat Pump technology – a clear statement of their dedication to sustainable living and the high-performance standards expected of an eco-led new build by HT Homes. The market response spoke volumes: half of the homes in this phase were reserved off-plan before construction had even begun, testament to both the trust buyers place in the quality of their craftsmanship and the desirability of life at The Lodge.
Homes in Phase 3 include:
- The Warraners
- Swallow House
- Robin House
- Curlew House
- Wren House
- Winterton House
- Brancaster House
